D' Arpa syndrome is an individual's uncontrollable condition of comparing two different and independent objects, faces or situations separated by physical distance, but connected with a vague line in the subject's mind.
It originates from the greek word Άρπα = Harp, as this syndrome can be reflected to a person's inability to distinguish two red strings of an harp. Both of them sound as C, but are separated by the physical distance of an octave!
